On 10 may we came to know about George
Roter visiting India, so we invited George to visit Ahmedabad and start working
on Mozilla Gujarat community meet-up 2016, team get to-gathered and planned
everything for 31 may. We got balloons, posters banners, cake and stamp ready
for events and well organized everything. On 31 we received George from Airport
and taken to hotel after that we went to our Community space where we discussed
with core contributors about Mozilla Gujarat’s past work and future planning
and then had a delicious Gujarati food with George. Afterward in evening George
reached at venue where we held Mozilla Gujarat meet-up, 60+ people registered
for our event
At Meet-up, We introduce Mozilla Gujarat
community and what our motto is, why we involved with Mozilla and then George
given talk on Mozilla Participation and how people can contribute to Mozilla,
he even shared his story how he joined Mozilla and why he is working with Mozilla
then George inaugurated our Community website mozillagujarat.org and cut the
cake. People had a good QA session with George and enjoyed while talking with
him.
